Will PingBats work on Vista? We have tested PingBats on Vista on a number of different machines...yes, it will work on Vista, even with User Account Control on.
Can PingBats pinpoint all my network connectivity problems? No. For example, if you can ping your own NIC, but you can't ping the gateway, that only tells you there's a problem between those two points or it could be that the gateway is down. Still, that lets you know that the problem is in your location and where to start looking--your cabling to the gateway is the most obvious candidate, or someone may have cut off your gateway device.
Can I run PingBats on my servers? Absolutely. It's a small program and it only requires a limited amount of resources. We've tested it on Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Small Business Server 2003 products and it works without a hitch.
