Internet marketing is experiencing phenomenal growth. Surpassing $12 billion in 2005 (CNET 11/21/2005), web advertising has become an important and effective means of attracting new and loyal customers.

Marketing studies have consistently shown that 7 "impressions" are required before most people will remember your advertising. However, these studies have pretty much ignored the inundation effect that has come from a constant barage of advertising. Consequently, in everyday life today, we believe a more accurate number would be 10 impressions.

Our approach is different than other websites. We will be advertising ITSBITS on multiple outlets in the Birmingham, Alabama, SMSA--one of the top 20 SMSA's in the United States. (Ads will basically be built around the theme that, "If you need products or services in the Birmingham area, especially for your business, come to www.ITSBITS.com to find what you need." ITSBITS will show up on radio, TV, in numerous print outlets, etc. Our goal here is to create an environment where the majority of people in the area will be hit with 10 or more impressions in a reasonable time frame...thus bringing them to our portal website.

Moreover, on a random basis, our individual advertisers have the option of "appearing" or being mentioned in these ads--hence a tag-line might say something like, "If you need a left-handed widget polisher, please, be sure to call our friends at XYZ Widget Polishing Company for the best polish around." Thus, when you pay for advertising with ITSBITS, you get more than just a single website impression, you have people coming to a heavily advertised website where they can see more of your information and, on preset basis, you can get a personalized spot on our media outlets. And you get this for less per year than some outlets would cost for a couple months.

What We'll Want

We want to make you successful. So, here's a list of things we'll be asking you to provide:

  1. Ad-Copy or a graphic for your ad
  2. Ad copy or graphic for your rotating tower ad
  3. Information and a picture for our Charter Partners Page--this is information about you, your business/service. A paragraph is about all you need and we'll put a picture there, too. Take a look at the page we're talking about to see what it's all about: Bham Charter Partners
  4. A content article that relates to what your company does. We DO NOT want and we CANNOT USE an ad here. We're looking for content that would be applicable for anyone who has an interest in the business or service or product-type. For example, we wouldn't be able to use content that said, "You should buy your new XY-brand automobile from me. I have the best deals on XY-brand, etc., etc." Instead, do an article that compares the XY-brand to its closest competition. Be honest. If the QR-brand has a new feature that you wish the XY had, mention it. Tell them what would help them make the decision to buy--whether they decide on the XY or the QR. Then, at the bottom, we'll put an "article by Your Name" and a sentence or two about you which will include a link and phone number to get them to talk to you. This is all about building trust and establishing yourself as an expert on the subject, so try to give facts and information.
  5. Remember that you're on at least 2 content pages, so if you feel the urge, we'd like to have an article on both of those pages...yes, 2 articles would be nice.
  6. Specials/coupons...we have a page for that and if you can place something out there, that will be another place where your name and phone number appear as well as something to help get people to do business with you.
  7. Hiring a new employee? Got a new product line? Planning a big event--not just a "special" or a sale, but something special that would interest lots of people? Give us a press article so we can use it as news--and put your name and phone number out there again!
  8. Is your church or civic group planning a special event? Email us a quick description of it and we'll get it on our calendar. Be sure to answer the magic questions: who? what? where? when? why? how?

Remember, the more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it!
